What did Featherweight say happens after launch?
Two Featherweight Games Steam announcements anchor post-1.0 expectations:
- “Our Post-Launch Update Roadmap” (Steam announcement, 2026-10-12) lists launch, a December 2026 1.1 update, Q1 2027 PVP, and longer-term campaign extensions.
- “Chained Beasts is available NOW” (Steam announcement, 2026-10-15) repeats structure facts (9 battles, 3 acts, 70+ afflictions, 40+ items, 8 beasts) and closes with “Plenty more to come after 1.0!” pointing readers to the roadmap post.
What does the official timeline include?
Quoted plans below paraphrase bullet order from Our Post-Launch Update Roadmap (2026-10-12). Wording follows the announcement relative to the October 15, 2026 launch.
| Date / window | Planned content (announcement wording) | Source |
|---|---|---|
| October 15, 2026 | Launch on Steam and consoles; team celebrates after release | Post-launch roadmap; release posts |
| December 2026 (1.1) | 1.1 with a brand new arena (and boss), a new weapon, and new enemies to match | Post-launch roadmap (2026-10-12) |
| Q1 2027 | PVP mode to fight friends; handful of new skills and afflictions to keep campaign fresh | Post-launch roadmap |
| After PVP ships | Monitor player interest; consider additional acts, more skills and afflictions, more beasts, beast variants, and beast cosmetics for replay value | Post-launch roadmap |
| After 1.0 (general) | Plenty more to come after 1.0 (launch announcement summary) | Launch-day Steam announcement |
Featherweight also used the roadmap post to remind players about wishlists and friends gathering for launch—marketing context, not a feature spec.
Is there DLC?
We found no DLC announcement in the Featherweight Steam announcements and store page text we read as of 2026-10-16. Roadmap bullets describe planned updates without naming separate premium expansions on the store page.
If paid DLC appears on the Steam store page later, we will add a sourced row—until then, treat DLC status as undisclosed, not “confirmed absent forever.”
Will PVP come to consoles?
Launch platforms are documented on release date, platforms, and price: Steam (Windows and macOS), PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and Game Pass on Xbox and Windows PC.
The PVP bullet says you can fight against your friends but does not list cross-play rules, couch versus online PVP, or console-specific timing. Console PVP scope is not disclosed in that announcement.
What longer-term content might follow?
After PVP, Featherweight wrote they would watch what players want most, then “look at introducing additional acts, new skills and afflictions, more beasts, beast variants and beast cosmetics” so campaign replay stays valuable.
That list is aspirational ordering in a community post, not a committed schedule. New Boss or Beast names beyond current acts are not part of the December 1.1 bullet—only “brand new arena (and boss)” without a proper name in the text we quoted.
See all bosses for shipped encounters and all beasts for the current eight playable beasts.

What does the roadmap mean for 1.0 achievement hunters and runs?
If you are playing the October 15, 2026 launch build, all 60 Steam Achievements are designed around the 1.0 three-act campaign (Carthage, Germania, and Rome). None of the launch achievements require Update 1.1 or Q1 2027 PVP to complete—see the full checklist on the achievements guide.
At the same time, every item on Featherweight’s roadmap expands a specific 1.0 system:
- Brand new arena and boss (December 2026 Update 1.1): Builds on the launch act bosses (Beastmaster Barca, Goliath, and Praefectus & the Siege).
- New weapon and enemies (December 2026 Update 1.1): Expands the launch pool of 40+ items and weapons sold by the Merchant and funded by post-battle Crowd Favorite rewards (crowd favorite and scoring).
- PVP mode plus new skills and afflictions (Q1 2027): Adds competitive friend matches alongside new cards for the 70+ skills and 70+ afflictions rolled at the Trainer (afflictions and Trainer). For current 1–4 player co-op modes, see co-op and multiplayer.
How we update this page
We last aligned text with Featherweight Steam announcements on 2026-10-16. When Featherweight publishes dated patches—especially 1.1 or PVP test branches—we will:
- Add a sourced row to the timeline table with the announcement title and date.
- Note any scope changes (delayed quarters, renamed modes) verbatim.
- Leave speculative features out unless a new official post names them.
New players should read the beginner guide for current 1.0 systems before planning around future modes.
